Week 11

This week the Blossom children have been very busy. They started the week with the new topic book of the week 'Tiddler'. To support this book the children have had a range of underwater themed activities including number fish fishing, following fish patterns to help improve fine motor skills and lots of water play to support pouring and measuring different capacities. Alongside some fun water play activities the children have love using blue playdough to create different underwater creatures.

A little later on in the week the Blossom children joined up with Cherry class to enjoy World Maths Day. Here, all the children sat and listened to 2 ladies from HSBC talk all about money. The children sat brilliantly putting their hands up and joining in with all the activities. The children were later asked to create their very own coins. Mrs Austin then led the children outside for a fabulous scavenger hunt around the playground ending in finding the treasure of chocolate coins!

Alongside all of these activities the children have been brilliant with continuing to learn their new sound 'g' having a go at writing it onto the whiteboard.
