Our focus book in literacy this week was Why Lion Roars based on a traditional African tale. The children worked in small groups to retell different parts of the story and then on Wednesday they had a go at retelling the story themselves in their independent writing books. I was really impressed by the children's confidence and persistence in trying their best to sequence their sentences, think about spellings and phonic sounds and even adding in description. I have enjoyed reading all of their stories and they should be proud of their efforts.

In maths we have continued our work on place value and numbers whilst in science we have been learning about our senses.
