Week 13

This week we have been reading the story of What the Ladybird Heard and talking about the way the story is sequenced. The children all had a go at creating their own story map so they could retell the story.

In maths we played board games on Tuesday and talked about what makes a good game and how we play it. Then today the children had a chance to work in pairs and create their own games based around a minibeast theme. Tomorrow we will play them before sending them home for you to enjoy in the holidays.

My final challenge for the childrens plan do review was to create a minibeast out of anything they liked. We had great fun choosing, cutting, joining and experimenting to create a variety of mini beasts, some of which, I'm sure, are new species!

We had a real treat this afternoon watching the dress rehearsal of the Dolphin class performance of A Midsummer Nights Dream. Wow! it was fantastic and the children were completely engaged through the whole 40 minute performance. Well done Dolphins for an amazing achievement.

Don't forget Monday we have our bug day and your child can come dressed as a mini best for a day of learning through games and play.

As a final challenge we would like your child to have a go at making a mini beast out of fruit or vegetables to bring in on Monday. Be creative!
