Over the next two weeks, Eco Warriors will be taking part in switch off fortnight. We will be monitoring how much energy we use in school and think about ways we could save energy. We have taken meter readings so we can work out how much electricity we use week by week. 

The group carried out a whole school assembly on Wednesday, talking to the other children about how electricity is produced and why it is important for us to try and use less both financially and ecologically.

They were fantastic at explaining about the different ways we can make electricity, how it comes into our homes and had lots of tips about saving electricity especially now winter is here.

Don't be surprised if your child reminds you to switch off lights if you are not in the room, only boil the amount of water you need and to put another jumper on rather than turning the heating up!
