Wk 10 World Book Day
World book day
Our rearranged world book day took place on Tuesday. All the children looked great dressed up. Erin dressed up as The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Isabelle as Moana, Jessica as the Mermaid from The Singing Mermaid, Martha a Fairy from That’s not my Fairy, Mason as Fireman Sam from The Runaway Santa, and Thomas as William the conqueror. On the hour every hour the school bell rang and we read their stories, finishing with the whole school in the hall for our final story of the day.
After reading the book Superworm we had lots of activities related to worms. We searched the wildlife garden looking for worms, found worms real and pretend hidden in the compost in the tuff tray, and played with cooked spaghetti in brown water.
