Week 12

Wow - what a week Beech class have ended on! We have finished our Science topic on micro-habitats by having a visit from Nick from Bugfest who bought lots of mini-beasts to show us and for us to hold if we wanted to. He also spoke in depth to us about their habitats and we found it particularly gross to learn that we are habitats to many small living things. We also learnt that the giant African snail is a habitat to a small white parasite which helps to clean the snail and keep bacteria from harming it. Please see the photos attached to see how brave lots of us were.

We made Easter cards and listened to our instructions really carefully - I'm sure you agree the Easter cards were amazing!

Then, we rotated around with our friends playing different games and practising turn-taking and how to react if we didn't win. Most of us had a great time and learned that it doesn't matter if we don't win - it is the taking part that counts! We continued this theme when we had our end of half term reward - 'disco' by playing lots of traditional party games like pass the parcel. musical chairs, musical bumps etc. We all had loads and loads of fun. See the photos attached.

Happy Easter!
