Happy New Year!

Welcome back, we hope you had a lovely festive break! It was lovely to see everyone on Wednesday and catch up with everyone’s holiday. 
 

When we arrived on Wednesday, we started with writing an acrostic poem about New Year. 

Our new topic for this half term is ‘How have children’s lives changed?’ In literacy we will be reading a new book called ‘Street Child’ by Berlie Doherty. We’ve read the first couple of chapters and we are hooked!

This half term in PE we will be doing gymnastics and netball. 

In Science on Thursday we looked at solids, liquids and gasses. We saw how water (liquid) boiled in a kettle turns to steam (gas). We also had guesses as to how long the kettle would take to boil.

Friday was a very exciting day as we could bring in our favourite toy because just before Christmas we reached 2000 dojo’s and this was our reward. All the toys behaved very well and we got to have a play with them in the afternoon.
