Week 14
It is hard to believe we are in our final week and that the chilren have been at school for a whole term already. It has been a busy week with lots of fun Christmas activities going on including, of course, our Nativity play. Wow! The children were fantastic in their roles as sheep and shepherds, stars and a Wise Man. Everyone had songs, dances and lines to learn and they all performed amazingly with some great ad libing at times! It is such a privilege to watch these young children come into school in September, a little quiet and shy, and watch them blossom into co-operative and confident people. Well done everyone. And thank you of course to parents for helping your children learn their lines and get costumes together.
We have also been doing lots of art activities, painting winter scenes for calendars, making Christmas cards and bookmarks, decorating glass pots and divas for candles and of course doing lots of Christmas colouring. I do hope you enjoy your children's creativity over the festive season.
On Wednesday Ms Forbes gave us all a special treat by creating alien Christmas slime with the children - (such fun!) - and today Mrs Taylor decorated a gingerbread house with them.
Today the children have come home with certificates and prizes to congratulate them on completing the name writing challenge. Every child took part and we have really enjoyed seeing all the pictures that have come in from home along with watching the children's writing progress within school. Thank you for helping your children take part.
Finally, The Seahorse Team wish you all a very Happy Christmas! Relax, enjoy and don't forget to leave a little mince pie for Santa.
