Week 6

This week the children enjoyed going on an autumn nature walk collecting lots of leaves, sticks, acorns and conkers which we added to our autumn tray. The children had fun searching for the hidden farm animals amongst the autumn treasures and counting conkers.

We have been busy making natural paintbrushes (sticks with leaves attached to the ends) which the children loved using to paint with.

A highlight this week was making stick men. We read the story 'Stick man' which the children thoroughly enjoyed listening to. The children were delighted with their stick men and keen to take them home to their 'family tree'.

We are encouraging the children to become increasingly independent at Preschool and pleased to see the children responding well to this. We have also been talking with the children about our values and expectations within the setting. It has been great to see the children are trying their best to follow these. Well done Starfish class!
