Week 2

We had a real treat this week when Mrs Briscoe visited us to talk about her recent trip to Antarctica. She talked about the wildlife, weather, traveling there and what an amazing place it is. The chidren were brilliant and listened really well, taking onboard all the information, asking good questions and were able to remember lots of the information for their independent writing the following day. They all wrote about the very dapper Macaronni Penguins with their yellow feathered heads and that they build their nests out of stones. They learnt that because there are not very many stones around they steal them from each other, and then steal them back!

In maths year 1 have been learning about time and year 2 about money.

Ms Moore is doing gymnastics with the children at the moment and as you can see from the photographs they are having a lot of fun!
