Week 11
This week we have been thinking about birthday celebrations, why do we celebrate them & how? The children had lots of lovely thoughts about why and enjoyed talking about how they have celebrated some of their birthdays with their families & friends. We have spent the week preparing for Cherry’s 5th Birthday party, making bunting, patterning balloons & threading them with ribbon, baking & decorating cakes, decorating birthday cards & party hats. The children really enjoyed her party, playing lots of game such as musical bumps, musical statues, pass the parcel & musical chairs. We listened to party music & used the scarves to create movement to the music. We sang Happy Birthday to Cherry & ate our cakes.
