Week 13 - PSHE / DT
At the end of last week we had a visit from Harold the Giraffe from the Life Education Van. The children has a session about staying fit and healthy, how we get energy and what happens to our food once it is inside us.
We had a very busy DT session finishing off the houses and the children certainly made a fantastic job of them. They then had to evaluate their work, thinking about what went well and what they wanted to improve. We put them together to build a small city and imagine what it would be like to live in houses so close to one another in bustling streets.
In literacy the children have written a story based during either the Great Fire of London or the Great Fire of Dorchester.
This week as well we have the start of advent so today the children decorated our classroom tree and we have an advent calendar in class too.
The children have all been working really hard to learn their lines for the nativity play and are doing a brilliant job of remembering them. Well done.
