Week 6 - Maths
We have had a very busy maths week with lots of practical maths going on in the classroom. The year ones have been measuring using non-standard units. (Next week the will begin to use cm and m). The year twos have been making bar graphs having gathered data in the form of a tall chart. As we were gathering data from the whole class it means that the year 1s have been introduced to tally charts. Some of the year 2s also spent a short time working with some year 1s to help them in their measuring ensuring it was accurate.
In art we looked at Van Gogh's sunflower paintings and the children painted their own sunflowers which all look amazing.
