Week 9
Over the summer term, the children have been learning about the life cycle of plants. They planted their sunflower seeds & runner beans in pots, learning about what they need to grow & how we need to continue to care for them, so that they grow from seed/bean into plants. The children have demonstrated a really good understanding of how to care for them and have made regular observations of their growth. Last week they enjoyed planting their small plants into both of our bedding areas & provided them canes to grow up. We are hoping that the sunflowers will grow as tall as the children, if not taller!
