22.3.19 DASP Singing concert and Robotic arms

DASP Singing Concert at Thomas Hardye School

On Monday, year 3 and 4 went to Thomas Hardye school for the morning to practise their singing with other schools from the DASP pyramid, ready for the concert that evening. This was the first time that all the children from across the schools had come to sing together the songs that they had been practising for the last few months.

On the Monday evening Sharks performed with Prince of Wales, Cerne Abbas and Damers, to sing 'Can you feel the love tonight', 'Food Glorious Food', 'When I grow up', 'Happy' and 'This is me'. Sharks class also performed their own song 'Singing in the Rain' which included a wonderful dance using umbrellas as props.

Well done to all the performers!

Robotic Arms

In D&t with Mrs Alyiffe, we made our own moving robotic arm made from lots of different materials lollipop sticks, straws, card, cellotape, split pins and wool / string.  Our challenge was to attach a magnet to it and pick up some paperclips.
