We listened to the story of ‘Bilal and the Beautiful Butterfly’ in RE this week, a Muslim story about celebrating Allah and his creations, especially the life cycle of a butterfly & its beauty.
After listening to & discussing the story, the children made a symmetrical butterfly by painting the wings on one side of their butterfly template, folded the wings to transfer the paint to the other side. These are now displayed  in our outdoor area to remind the children of the story of Bilal & the Butterfly, that people of different faiths worship different Gods & that we should be thankful for our blessings.

Don't forget Tuesday 23rd of May is Pirate Day, the children are invited to come to school dressed as a Pirate if they would like to!
