Operation Encompass

Winterbourne Valley CE VA First School has been successful in joining the Operation Encompass project that is being run jointly by the Operation Encompass charity and Dorset Police for all Dorset schools.

Dorset Police will now notify the school when a child from the school has experienced any domestic abuse, this information will then be shared on a need to know basis within the school.

 Mrs Horne (Designated Safeguarding Lead)  known as ‘key adult’, is to be trained to enable us to receive information from the police and to use the information to ensure we can act quickly and put in appropriate provision for children, and/or their families, who have been involved in a domestic abuse incident.
