Week 7 - EAD & UW
This week the children have been introduced to our new topic of 'Dangerous Dinosaurs'. We discussed all of the things that we already know about them & anything that we would like to learn more about them over the next seven weeks. We created a mind map which demonstrated that the children are already very knowledgeable about dinosaurs!
The Blossom class created a lovely dinosaur collage during their Expressive Art & Design activity. They used watercolour paints to make marks to represent the setting and then stuck on the different dinosaurs to create a scene. This activity gave the children to explore ways of combining different media & materials.
We also planted our runner beans that we started to grow in summer 1, when were reading the traditional tales & focusing upon Jack & the beanstalk. The children have been learning how to care for living things & observing each the growth stages of the beans. Hopefully they will produce a crop of runner beans for us all to share for snack!
