On Monday we had a wonderful theatre group who came into school for the day. The Year 2's were able to watch the performance of Surya's Story. The story examined how and where footballs are made and the fact that young children are employed to make them. The Year 1's watched the story of Jazz and Jagdeep. The story introduced the children to the rights of the child, fairtrade tea and global issues. The performance was really interactive and the children were involved in dancing and music. A huge thanks to the PTFA who funded this event.
Year 2's spent the morning at Thomas Hardye School Library on Wednesday. They met the author Paul Stickland who wrote the book 'Dinosaur Roar'. He talked to them about his love for writing stories particularly about Dinosaurs! The children also got the opportunity of drawing their own illustrations of dinosaurs.
On Wednesday we had our wonderful Sports Day organised by Ms Moore. It was fantastic but very hot! Well done to all the children for taking part and for having such a great attitude.
